The Associação Portuguesa de Classificação e Análise de Dados (CLAD) and the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) are pleased to organize the XXIV Jornadas de Classificação e Análise de Dados (JOCLAD2017), which will be held from 20 to 22 April 2017.
The JOCLAD2017 will take place at FEUP (pole II of the Universidade do Porto - Asprela Campus), at the headquarters of INESC-TEC (Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science).
The main objectives of this annual conference, addressed to teachers, researchers, students, and users who share interests in the area of Classification and Data Analysis, among other, are:
- Promote and develop research in data science;
- Stimulate the national scientific production, in the theoretical and applied fields;
- Develop mechanisms for scientific dialogue, collaboration, discussion and exchange between data scientists and companies;
- Strengthen CLAD's lead and cohesion.
The Scientific Program of JOCLAD2017 includes plenary sessions, thematic sessions, free communications (oral and poster) organized in parallel sessions and two mini-courses.
The conference will also be an opportunity to visit the wonderful city of Porto, one of the oldest tourist destinations in Europe, having been voted one more time the Best European Destination in 2017, and with its historic nucleus proclaimed a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1996.
